What kind of equipment will I need?

Nothing fancy! The important part is that we will be able to see and hear you clearly. Most digital cameras today have a recording version. Phones of models from the last two years or so usually have a decent recording quality as well, but a camera is to be prefered in most cases. You can also use a webcam, but have in mind that most built in webcameras have pretty low quality, so it would be a safer bet with an external one. Do a test recording where you answer a question and watch it, is the video clear and can you hear yourself easily?

Do I have to think about something before starting?

Yes, just a few things. Unless you have really great studio equipment, it's the best to shoot in daylight. This will prevent the video from going to grainy from the lack of light, and will also make you look the best! You also have to think a little bit about where you want to shoot your video. Outside in front of a medow, forest or why not a building or a shed can all be really cool. Try to get your camera in eye sight, not too close and not too far away from you. It's also usually more comfortable for you to sit down. Try to put your camera down or secure it to a tripod, your video will be a lot likelier to turn out good! Below I have included a short video explaining basic composition.

Do I need to look a certain way?

Of course not - just be you! If you want to get decked up in makeup and your wedding dress, go for it! If you want to wear a Queen shirt, feel free! Do whatever makes you comfortable.

How do I actually do the interview? Are there any rules?

After you've found yourself a nice background, secured your camera at a good angle, and made yourself look good, all your prep work is done! Press record on your device, take a deep breath, and start by answering the first question. If you want to, you can read the question, but you don't have to. Take your time. Don't worry if your English isn't perfect or you can't express it the way you want to - you will be fine! Once you've answered all the questions, you're done! Download the file to your computer, and be ready to send it!

You will find the questions below.

How do I send it?

It depends on the size of the file. Most files will be too big to send in an email directly, but you will have to upload it to some sort of service in order to transfer it to me. Dropbox and WeTransfer are both great services. Once you've found a way to transfer it, send me an email with the link, as well as your name, twitter-handle if you use twitter, age and location. If you don't want to use your real name, you can use a nickname, and it will then be that nickname that will show in the documentary and that I will credit you with. Your age and location will only be used as a way of seeing how wide spread, both in distance and demographics, the fandoms are!

If you need any help with this step, contact me and I will help you out!
